An Association Should Have Workers' Compensation Insurance


            Workers' compensation insurance shields an employer from liability arising out of suits brought by employees. Whether an association has actual employees or not, the association should have workers' compensation insurance. Even an injured employee of a contractor hired by the association may bring a claim against, and recover damages from, the association.
